If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)

What if Jesus decided to walk out on his bride because he no longer enjoyed her company anymore?

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. (Revelation 22:17)

What if Jesus decided to walk out on his bride because he no longer enjoyed her conversation anymore?

Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. (Matthew 19:6)

It is not the will of God for you to walk out on your spouse.

And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: (1 Corinthians 7:10)

Nor is it the will of God for you to fall out of love with your spouse.

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. (Ephesians 5:22)

If you can maintain a love for Jesus Christ then why can’t you maintain your love for your spouse?

Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. (Ephesians 5:24)

How can you maintain your love for Jesus Christ while you are planning, conspiring, and waiting for an opportunity to write your spouse a bill of divorcement?

So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. (Ephesians 5:28)

Or how can you maintain your love for Jesus Christ while you are planning, conspiring, and waiting to destroy your spouse with your divisive ways?

But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. (1 Corinthians 7:11)

Come let us Grow Together: Faithfulness

Come let us Grow Together is a weekly series that deals with the many topical categories that exist within the Word of God.  The purpose of this series is to grow in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding in things pertaining to God.

Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. (1 Thess 5:24)

The Lord our God is a faithful God who is looking for a Bride that is Faithful to Him!!

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. (Rev 3:13-16)

The Lord our God is looking for a red hot on fire Bride that is eagerly awaiting His coming!!

That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. (Eph 5:27)

Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? (Mt 24:45)

Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch. (Mk 13:33-37)

The Lord our God is looking for a Bride that is busy about the Master’s business!!

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (Eph 2:10)

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. (Titus 2:13-14)

Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. (1 Cor 4:2)

The Lord our God is looking for a Bride that is producing fruit!!

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, (Heb 12:1)

And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred. (Mk 4:9)

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned. But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. (Heb 6:4-9)

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” (1 Jn 2:1-2)

The Lord our God is looking for a Bride that has made herself ready!!

And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.  Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.  But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. (Mt 25:6-13)

Come Let us Grow Together: Developing a Relationship with Jesus Christ

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. (Eph 5:22)

The foundation of the development of a relationship with Jesus Christ is to Love the Lord with all the heart, mind, soul, and strength.

For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. (Eph 5:23)

For you are the Body of Christ and the Body of Christ is the Bride of Christ.  Therefore let us be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live!

Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. (Eph 5:24)

For obedience is what the Lord desires from each one of us.  Let us walk even as He walked.  For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. (1 Jn 5:3)

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; (Eph 5:25)

For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. (Rom 5:6) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. (Rom 12:1)

That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. (Eph 5:26-28)

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. (1 Jn 3:18)

For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: (Eph 5:29)

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. (Eph 4:15-16)

For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. (Eph 5:30)

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. (1 Cor 6:19-20)

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. (Eph 5:31)

But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit. (1 Cor 6:17)

This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. (Eph 5:32)

For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many. (1 Cor 12:13-14)

Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. (Eph 5:33)

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. (1 Cor 11:3)

If we then subject ourselves to the hierarchal headship of God as we were taught and fulfill our roles that have been given unto us as a man and woman, and also as a husband and wife; we will then further develop our relationship with Jesus Christ, because of our obedience unto the Word of God of which He has set forth for us to follow according to whether or not you are a man or a woman and whether or not you are the husband or the wife.

Let us go on unto perfection and Let us fulfill our roles!!
